Data Analytics QA Engineer

Responsibilities

Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

Plan and coordinate testing activities

Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools (Python, Pyspark etc.)

Identify, record, document test results thoroughly and track bugs

Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Develop automated scripts for end to end technology stack quality monitoring metrics and dashboard

Track quality assurance metrics and work with developers to improve the metrics over time

Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

Proven work experience in software development

Proven work experience in software quality assurance preferred

Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Experience in writing comprehensive test plans and test cases

Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

At least 2 years of experience in SQL and Python

Experience with no SQL databases preferred

Experience with Hadoop eco-system preferred

BS/MS degree in Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering
